A workshop on Working with Young People - Self Harm / Self Injury Behaviours will be held at Nerang Catholic Parish Hall (St Bridget’s Primary School), McLarens Road Nerang, on Monday, August 12, 9am - 12:30pm.

A ‘Dealing With Difficult and Challenging Behaviour’ course is being offered by the Lismore Neighbourhood Centre Volunteer Resource Centre on Tuesday 25 June.

The Centre for Children and Young People is presenting a seminar, Proactive Approaches to Preventing the Abuse And Neglect Of Children With Disability, with Dr Sally Robinson. The seminar will be held on Wednesday 26 June at Southern Cross University, Lismore.

Legal Aid NSW runs free workshops for community workers and has released its July – November 2013 workshop calendar. The workshops cover many areas of law including Family Law, Domestic Violence, Employment Rights, Social Security and other topics.

North Coast Institute of TAFE is offering a Certificate III in Aboriginal Mentoring Course out of Ballina Campus for next Semester.

NRSDC’s Communicating Mindfully in Conflict and Difficult Situations workshop will be held over 2 days on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th July, at YWCA – 101a Rous Road, Goonellabah. The course targets people with previous training in communication skills who want to strengthen their skills by deepening their understanding of personal patterns that get in the way of clear and effective communication.

The Mental Health Co-ordinating Council's Advanced Diploma in Community Services Management course is due to commence in Lismore in July. The Advanced Diploma - Leadership in Action (LIA) is specifically designed for managers from the community sector. You do not have to work in a specialist mental health service to benefit from this training.

Fighting Fair is holding two training sessions in Byron Bay on the topics of Conflict Resolution and Holding Difficult Conversations. All trainings are endorsed by the AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers) and the APS (Australian Psychological Society) - those attending receive CPD hours.

The DRUMBEAT 3 DAY WORKSHOP  is an evidence-based early intervention program that builds confidence and resilience through rhythm to engage young children, adolescents and adults who are anxious or resistant to 'talk based' therapies. The ROCK AND WATER WORKSHOP involves an early intervention program with specialised training options, implemented in services and schools across Australia as an anti-bullying program.
