In August 2009, the NSW Government released A Way Home: Reducing Homelessness in NSW, NSW Homelessness Action Plan 2009-2014. The NSW Homelessness Action Plan is the State government strategy for reforming the homelessness service system. The NSW Homelessness Action Plan includes a commitment to the development of Regional Homelessness Action Plans. Regional Homelessness Action Plans are the regional implementation mechanism for the NSW Homelessness Action Plan. This document sets out the context for and process of development of Regional Homelessness Action Plans. As the lead agency for the NSW Homelessness Plan, Housing NSW is coordinating the development of Regional Homelessness Action Plans.
Regional Homelessness Action Plan 2010-2014
The NSW Parliament’s Inquiry into Homelessness and low-cost Housing has completed its public hearings and its final report is due in September. NRSDC was invited to attend a Hearing and present additional information to its original submission. Answers to questions raised are attached.
