The following Community Sector Ball Award winners will be announced on Saturday, November 5 at the Community Sector Ball and Award Night at Byron Community Centre. For more information about the Community Sector Awards, visit the website www.nrsdc.org.au/ball.
After careful deliberation by a panel of judges, including Lismore Mayor Jenny Dowell, Page MP Janelle Saffin, RDA NR Chair Ian Tiley and Ben Roche from SCU, a selection of Northern Rivers community services workers have been short-listed as finalists for the Community Sector Ball Awards. Award winners will be announced at the Community Sector Ball and Awards Night on Saturday, November 5 and major prizes will be presented by award sponsor North Coast Community Housing.
Only 11 days are left until nominations close for the inaugural Community Sector Ball and Awards Night. Northern Rivers community members are strongly encouraged to nominate a community services worker before October 28 for one of the seven awards that will be announced at the Ball and Awards Night on November 5. This is the only time of the year that community service workers will receive community recognition and prizes for the extraordinary work they do in providing care, assistance, support and advocacy for many people in our community who face hardship.
Nominations are now open for the Community Sector Ball Awards and winners of each of the award categories will be announced during an awards presentation ceremony on the night of the ball. If you know of someone who works in a community services organisation on the North Coast of NSW who deserves to be recognised for their dedication to making the world a better place to live in, nominate them now for one of the award categories.
Community Sector workers on the North Coast are encouraged to dust off their glass slippers, don their glam rags and get ready to dance the night away at the first ever Community Sector Ball and Awards Night on Saturday, November 5, from 6.30pm until late. (Sept 7)
