Brief description of course:

Most of us at some time have had experience working with difficult colleagues or having to manage destructive and unproductive dynamics in the workplace. This course will provide the the participant with the knowledge and skills to approach and work with current areas of of conflict and reduce the risk of future discord.

Key subject areas covered: will include:

  • Exploring the role of emotional intelligence within organisations
  • Developing strategies to strengthen positive organisational culture
  • Clarifying roles, goals, expectations and developing agreements
  • Selecting appropriate courses of action – options and processes
  • Identifying ways to provide constructive feedback
  • Identifying ways to mange difficult conversations

Biography of trainer:

Lisa Gardiner specialises in training, organisational development and providing supervision
for managers and practitioners. She has worked in the government and non-
government sectors as a practitioner, trainer, manager and in policy development. She
has a strong commitment to strengthening organisational resilience using a range of
support and learning processes including: futures thinking, leadership development and
practice management strategies. Lisa has a background in health and human services, mediation, and has a Masters in Applied Science - Organisational Development.
