News Topics:

Welcome

TonyDaviesWelcome to NRSDC's February Newsletter. We have packed a lot of Training information in this issue which is very relevant to service providers and their clients. We have also made our Newsletter easier to use. If you need to get to the top of the page, click any of the Topic headings (the purple bars with the green arrows). In 2009, NRSDC would like to profile new services. If your organisation is located in the Northern Rivers and is running a new service this year, and you want people to know about it, send some details in an email to newsletter@nrsdc.org.au.

I am very interested in meeting representatives of community service organisations in 2009. If I don't get a chance to meet in person, please forward any relevant social and community service issue to me on my email, ceo@nrsdc.org.au.

Reports & Information

Northern Rivers Finance Officers Network
This is a region wide forum which meets every two months (the venue is not fixed).  The forum members are finance officers or bookkeepers of non-profit organisation in the Northern Rivers region. At the next meeting the forum is focussing on audit requirements and risk management, with an auditor/accountant doing a presentation on these issues. It may be that people just want to link into sessions from time to time and that’s fine.  Joining the distribution list will ensure people know what’s coming up. We are new and have only had two meetings (both of them great) and the next one is to be held from  2-4pm on 17 February 2009 in Lismore (contact Trish Evans on 66201830 or 0447212245 for details and to join the distribution list).
