Legal Aid NSW - Homeless Outreach Clinics PDF Print E-mail

Legal Aid NSW is conducting Homeless Outreach Clinics in the Northern Rivers for homeless people or those at risk of being homeless.

Legal Aid NSW is expanding its civil law services for problems such as:-

  • Fines
  • Debts
  • Housing – tenancy, mortgages and retirement villages
  • Discrimination
  • Consumer protection
  • Credit – including unfair contracts
  • Civil liberties (including problems with police)
  • Social security

Legal outreach clinics will be provided to people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. This includes people who are living in short-term accommodation such as refuges or hostels, staying with friends/family, or living in boarding houses. The services will be provided mainly through clinics located at services where homeless people are known to visit or reside.
