Refugee Youth Sports Sponsorship Funding PDF Print E-mail

The Community Relations Commission is pleased to announce that funding for the Refugee Youth Sports Sponsorship Program in 2012 is now available. The program aims to reach refugee youth in rural and regional areas of New South Wales, enabling them to participate in sporting activities where financial disadvantage would otherwise preclude them, and providing an avenue for establishing connections with the local community.

The NSW Government is calling for tenders to operate a contract with the Health Administration Corporation. The successful respondents will establish and operate Family Referral Services that link vulnerable children, young people and families in need of assistance with the most appropriate support services in their local area. The operations will have a regional focus and include services for the Mid North Coast and the Far North Coast.
