As part of Youth Week 2012, Lismore PCYC will be running a major fundraiser, called PCYC 'Time 4 Kids' and is looking for community leaders to take part. The concept is that community leaders 'Do time to keep kids out of crime', helping to raise funds for Police youth crime programs and for urgently needed club equipment.
Members of the local community 'do time' in a make-shift PCYC jail cell at the local shopping centre and rely on their friends, family and professional contacts to raise "bail" in order to be released. Bail is set at $500 per person. If you or someone you know would be interested in supporting the work we do at the club and then I am inviting them to participate in this year's event which we are holding at Lismore Shopping Square on the 13th of April, 2012. The event will be fun - participants will be provided 'prisoner' gear and a memento ‘Time 4 Kids' T-shirt to wear. We will be organizing a commemorative ‘mug-shot' for each participant. The idea is for the volunteers to pre-arrange enough donations to meet the $500 bail. We roster you a time in the PCYC Jail, and during (or before) your 'stay' you contact your supporters and arrange the pledge and payment. Donations made $2 and above are, of course, tax deductible. A number of community leaders and volunteers will be involved. Please feel free to contact me on 0417 407 056 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
