WHS legislation workshops PDF Print E-mail

 National Disability Service (NDS) is running a number of workshops on the new WHS legislation which came into effect on January 1 2012.   There are only a few spaces left in some locations.  

NDS is are also going to be offering some Psychosocial Leadership training workshops for Frontline Managers starting in March.  The aim of these workshops is to address the increasing number of psychological injuries reported within the sector.  They will aim to establish a positive and supportive workplace culture within participating organisations by developing the leadership skills and techniques of frontline managers.

 

The program will be delivered in metro and regional locations of NSW and will target both large and small organisations.  The program consists of 3 one day workshops over a 3 month period, with the initial workshops starting in March 2012.  The content covered in the workshops will include; communication, team leadership, coaching and mentoring, conflict resolution and team motivation.

OHS/Injury Management regional meetings will resume in 2012 but not until May due to the training we are conducting.  The three in your region for 2012 will therefore be:

·         May 11 – Alstonville

·         August 17 – Lismore

·         October 26 – Alstonville
