Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Events 2012
Come along and celebrate cultural events region wide, brining together the Aboriginal community and the broader community. See the following timetable of events for 2012.
You are invited to join The Australian Lifestlyle Medicine Association (ALMA) in attending a Keeping Mentally Healthy program, to be presented by Professor Robert Donovan on Wednesday 22nd February, from 5:30- 6:30pm.
The Centre for Children and Young People at Southern Cross University warmly invites you to the seminar 'Children's participation: challenges for research and practice' on Tuesday, 28 February 2012, from 4- 5.30pm.
The Northern Rivers MS support group meets at Ballina or Lismore on the 4th Wednesday of each month (apart from December) from 10.00am to 12.00pm. The next meeting is on Wednesday 22 February 2012 at the Education Centre, Crowley Village (end of Cherry Street) Ballina. Everyone is welcome irrespective of where you live, including service providers and others caring for people with MS - please come along and find out more about MS support in our area.
A Community Services Expo will be held at the park behind the Camellia Cottage in Grafton on 22nd February 2012, from 10am-12pm. Come along and meet workers from Local Service Providers in the Clarence Valley. You can find out what services are out there and how they can help you!
The Ministerial Taskforce on Aboriginal Affairs is seeking your views on the development of a new Aboriginal affairs strategy for NSW. A public community meeting will be held in Lismore on 22 February 2012 from 12.00pm – 3.00pm at Lismore Workers Club, 225 - 231 Keen Street, Lismore.
Expressions of interest wanted! Lismore City Council and Youth Connections North Coast Inc. are seeking expressions of interest from community organisations to be involved in supporting and helping with Lismore’s very own local Youth Week event “Live it up” on the 14th April at the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre, from 10am – 3pm.

The Tweed Family Mental Health Planning Committee is looking for new members and is gearing up to make the 2012 Tweed Family Fun Day a day to be remembered! Event Manager, Maria Breene said the Tweed Family Fun Day would be held during Mental Health month in October.
