NRSDC board welcomes new members PDF Print E-mail

With Tony Dreise stepping down from his post on the board of NRSDC to take up an exciting study opportunity, NRSDC farewells Tony and recognises the important contribution he has made to the development of the organisation over the three years he has been on the board. He was a key player in driving the development of the NRSDC strategic plan as he brought his passion for driving change and innovative thinking to the organisation.

NRSDC is now pleased to welcome two new members to the board; Liz Gehring and Jennifer Harrison. They will both be bringing their wealth of ideas and experience to NRSDC to help shape the direction of the work and advocacy undertaken by the organisation.

Liz Gehring brings with her years of experience of working in the community sector. She currently works as an operations manager for client services in a not-for-profit organisation and is looking forward to contributing to community development  by being part of an organisation that reflects and supports the community’s needs.

“I have a good understanding of community needs and I hope to bring that to board discussions and decision making,” Liz said.

Jennifer Harrison is a senior lecturer at Southern Cross University’s Business School at the Gold Coast campus and brings to the board her understanding of business; as well as her strengths in the areas of finance, marketing and entrepreneurship.

Jennifer and Liz will be joining NRSDC board members Michelle Mccartney, Tony Davies, Susan Howland, Paul Cruikshank and Regan Harding. NRSDC looks forward to working Jennifer and Liz for the rest of the year as the organisation works toward creating positive social change for the Northern Rivers community.
