Rekindling The Spirit is a community organisation run by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal families in Australia and is a service with a holistic approach to working with Aboriginal families and communities towards positive and lasting change.
As an Aboriginal Service, they work with the issues that affect people's physical, spiritual, emotional, sexual and mental wellbeing. In doing this they aim to benefit the community as a whole, while giving special support to the individuals and families who come in contact with Rekindling The Spirit.
While there are both male and female Family Workers within the organisation, the services provided are generally provided by both the male and female Family Workers. In some circumstances when asked for, or required, the Family Workers can work together to assist families or couples. The organisation is based in Lismore within the Bundjalung Nation area of Northern New South Wales and acknowledges the Widjabul People past and present upon whose land they work. They support Indigenous men and women to find their own path of empowerment through spiritual, emotional, sexual and physical healing.
