The Northern Rivers Social Development Council (NRSDC) advocates for a fairer community with a focus on people most disadvantaged and the services helping and supporting them in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. NRSDC works to achieve this by partnering with other organisations such as the NSW Council of Social Services (NCOSS) and the Australian Council of Social Services (ACOSS), as well as other key Local, Regional,State and Federal organisations. The NRSDC sends out a monthly newsletter at the start of each month, from February to December, along with a mid-month update for any last minute news. NRSDC has been actively identifying social issues within the region for 30 years. With increased resources through the HACC, Public Transport, and Regional Community Services Development Projects, NRSDC has been able to create stronger links with sections of the community services sector and identify priority regional social issues.
